We have identified a number of derelict or at risk sites along the Clyde as having potential for preservation and/or innovative new uses. We will add to this list as our research progresses. If you are interested in partnering with CDPI on projects for restoration of any of these assets please contact us.
The site adjacent Bowling Harbour is earmarked for redevelopment but the harbour and breakwater offer an opportunity to create either a water feature or perhaps as a small harbour facility. Maybe even a visitor park attraction themed on a fishing harbour would enhance the area and new developments further - particularly plans of Scottish Canals for the adjacent canal basin.
It benefits from being only a few yards from the railway station and a short journey from Glasgow. Perhaps it could form a waterfront link between the railway station and the canal.
