We have identified a number of derelict or at risk sites along the Clyde as having potential for preservation and/or innovative new uses. We will add to this list as our research progresses. If you are interested in partnering with CDPI on projects for restoration of any of these assets please contact us.
Craigendoran Piers at the mouth of the Gareloch at Helensburgh were largely destroyed in a fire many years ago. They were part of the railway station complex where passengers would disembark to board Clyde Steamers.
Our interest in the piers is to see them them preserved in their current state as a landscape artefact feature. Potentially as part of a shore-front park on the adjacent land.
